installation Standards

Your turf system is comprised of more than you might think. Precision installation is the foundation of a flawless lawn. Our proven process and strict standards ensure every project not only performs beautifully but lasts for years. Every job is installed by professionals using time-tested methods, only the best materials and more of what matters, commitment to detail.

Every install is personally managed by your very own dedicated project manager from project start to final walkthrough. Your project manager is the ONLY one with all of your ideas, design elements and customizations from the start, ensuring everything that we agreed upon is installed to the highest standards.

installation checklist

  • Before work begins, your project manager will walk the site with you, spraying out edging placement and discussing the project and expectations in detail making sure everything that was previously agreed upon is actually getting installed.

  • Grass and debris is removed to allow for adequate base build-up.

  • Edging boards are installed around the entire perimeter, encapsulating the base material from all sides. Your turf is then secured to the perimeter edging, preventing any unwanted movement and locking in your turf system.

  • Sub-base and screenings are spread and compacted to create long-term stability and prevent erosion.

  • Turf is laid and stretched, seams are glued and all perimeter turf edges are secured to the boards.

  • Antimicrobial sand is applied at the level recommended by the manufacturer and power-broomed into the fibers to make the project come to life.

  • Your project manager will walk the project with you. We quality check every inch of your install ensuring the highest quality.

Through the years, we have tried every form of base material in the Carolinas. A stable base, means a stable system for years to come. Your turf system comprises of a three inch layer of aggregate sub-base, providing maximum stability and preventing erosion. Followed by a secondary base layer of fines/screenings, eliminating humps, dips and providing a smooth base system that you can trust will last for years.
